Dominico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana established the house of Dolce & Gabbana in 1985. The duo used their last names to create a luxury brand name, which is now world famous.

The group's brands include Dolce & Gabbana and D&G. Both these brands carry clothing, knitwear, leather goods, footwear and accessories.
However the Dolce & Gabbana brand is haute couture while D&G is casual. Dolce & Gabbana have signed licensing agreements to manage perfumes, eyewear, clothing, watches and jewels.

The main production company of the group is Dolce & Gabbana Industria S.p.A., which runs two manufacturing facilities, a number of support companies and DGS S.p.A. Dolce & Gabbana clothes, swimwear, accessories, underwear, eyewear and perfumes are available for both men and women.

The company has also established a section called D&G Junior for kids.
