Givenchy Fashion House

In 1952, Hubert de Givenchy opened his fashion house in Paris and the same year he presented his first haute couture collection. Givenchy's fame spread like wildfire and he was commissioned to design for Audrey Hepburn, Jackie Kennedy and the Duchess of Windsor.

The Givenchy brand logo is 4 Gs forming a square. Five years later Givenchy launched his own perfumery division known as the 'Parfums Givenchy' and created his first fragrance 'De' followed by L'Interdit, which was endorsed by Audrey Hepburn. In 1961 the famous designer launched two men's fragrances as well.
In 1973, he launched Gentlemen Givenchy - his first ready to wear collection for men. However the House of Givenchy was sold to LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, following the group's acquisition of Veuve Clicquot and Parfums Givenchy in 1988. Seven years later Givenchy retired from the world of fashion.
Givenchy's collections include haute couture and ready to wear garments, perfumes, cosmetics and accessories. Givenchy boutiques are located in USA, Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa.
