Designer Kenneth Cole started the Kenneth Cole Productions Inc in 1982. The company started out as a shoe company but with instant success, it expanded to include menswear, womenswear and accessories.

Cole's menswear includes shirts, sweaters, bottoms, jackets and blazers. Women's clothing comprises of tops, bottoms, skirts, dresses, jackets and coats. Apart from jewelry, watches, belts, ties, knit caps, gloves, scarves, small leather goods, socks, sunglasses, footwear, handbags, briefcases, travel bags and fragrances, the Kenneth Cole brand includes stain repellents, pencils, note cards, envelopes, gift cards, self-stick notes, and journals.
