Esquire Magazine |
| If you think this is a magazine about English gentries, well, think again! Esquire, founded in 1933 by Arnold Gingrich, is a magazine exclusively for men.
Esquire is all about the interests, passions and curiosity of men. The magazine publishes articles on fashion health and business. At one-point, well-known writers including Ernest Hemmingway, F Scott Fitzgerald, Norman Mailer and Truman Copote had contributed articles to this magazine.
From a racy publication for men, it turned to a refined periodical but in the 1940s, its popularity skyrocketed, probably due to the magazine's coverage of Alberto Vargas's paintings of voluptuous pin-up girls.

The editor-in-chief of Esquire is David Granger. The current issue of Esquire features Scarlett Johansson on the magazine cover, with the caption of the world's sexiest woman alive. Other articles include style, health and sex tips for men, the best bars and restaurants in America, Ten things men don't know about women, interview with Ivanka Trump, book and music features, Q +A and more.
Celebrities who have been featured on the magazine cover include Muhammad Ali, Woody Allen, Pierce Brosnan, Bill Clinton, Tom Cruise, Cindy Crawford, Pamela Anderson and Jennifer Aniston amongst others. The magazine also publishes its Dubious Achievement of the Week, which is headline-writing contest. Esquire has won several National Magazine Awards.
