Heidi Klum is one of the top models in international fashion industry. Originally from Germany, Heidi showed more interest towards her studies than modeling.

But later while studying fashion designing she decided that she wanted to become a model after struggling for several years in Europe, she moved to Miami and then New York in search of modeling assignments. Her big break came when Victoria's Secret signed her on. Heidi walked the ramp wearing Victoria's Secret collections and also featured on their catalogue. She gained international recognition after she modeled for Sports Illustrated magazine.

In 1998 she posed for the magazine's Swimsuit Issue and was the cover girl. Finally the supermodel had arrived.

She also made appearances on television sitcoms and films, but her biggest television hit series is Project Runway, a reality show in which contestants compete to win a chance to design clothes for Banana Republic. Heidi is the executive producer and host of the show. Heidi has also launched her brand of perfumes, shoes and jewelry.

Several of her paintings have appeared in various art magazines in the U.S.A. Heidi Klum has three children and is presently married to British musician Seal.
